The LW-3 linear servomotor is encased in a U-shaped moving slide which is supported by four bearings. The base is constructed of precision-machined, black oxide steel. Integrated into each stage is a reflective 50 lines/mm encoder tape scale and reader head for position feedback. The LW-3 is capable of standard travels of up to 46 inches with velocities of 200 inches/second with payloads up to 11 lbs.
