Display offers two-page viewing

Associate Editor Deana Colucci picks noteworthy display products

By Deana Colucci -- Design News, September 7, 1998

dpiX aims to "redefine" visual computing with its Expression(TM) 19-inch diagonal, high-resolution, color flat-panel display module. Unlike previous liquid crystal displays, the Expression 100 provides a two-page viewing area. It incorporates a proprietary design for a wide viewing angle and support for full-motion video at 30 frames per second. Designed to replace 20- to 21-inch computer monitors based on cathode ray tube technology, the Expression provides distortion-free images in a light, compact unit that requires little power to operate. dpiX says its display provides workstation-class (SXGA) resolution with Digital True Color(TM) technology for full 24-bit color imagery and optimal signal fidelity from source to screen. It also offers stable and uniform linearity from center to corner, making it immune to magnetic distortion and thus suitable for industrial and medical environments. dpiX Inc. Product Code 4406
