Hydraulic shock absorbers

PERRET hydraulic shock absorbers are used on production lines to prevent end-of-travel impact at high speed. Capable of withstanding high temperatures and output rates, the absorbers come in a range of sizes, operating at temperatures up to 180C and frequencies at 4 Hz, with admissible impact speeds ranging from 0.3 to 4m/sec. To dissipate the mechanical energy of a moving mass, a laminar fluid flow is sent through the "operating clearance" between the piston and its compression chamber. This principle limits local heating of the fluid and increases the service life of the absorber.
