Belting
By Design News Staff -- Design News, August 17, 1998
Transback belting incorporates rubber, urethane, or foam backings bonded to typical flat, vee, multi-vee, or HTD belts. Backings differ in compressibility, color, static resistance, suitability for heat or chemical environments, and other properties. Shapes and profiles, which may include perforations, can also be ground into the backings to conform to user component specifications. Applications include use in the plastic extrusion industry.
