Polyphenylsulfone
By Design News Staff -- Design News, August 17, 1998
RADEL(reg) R polyphenylsulfone is used in medical devices because of its impact and chemical resistance, and can withstand repeated sterilizations without a degredation of its mechanical properties. The material is used in the Somnoplasty(TM) procedure for upper-airway disturbances, based on radiofrequency thermal ablation.
