OptiStruct(reg) 3.1 is a finite element-based optimization tool that uses the science of topology optimization. OptiStruct computes the optimum material topology for a model within a given design space. This technology is applied at the beginning of the design process, when the greatest improvements are possible. Using OptiStruct, users can create new concept designs or improve existing designs.
