Cigar Lighter- Powered Mp3 Player
Randy Frank, Contributing Editor -- Design News, October 23, 2006
Roadmaster USA VRFM8BLN MP3 WMA Wireless FM Transmitter
Simply plugging this MP3 player into a car’s cigar lighter socket and tuning to an unused FM radio channel, allows access to all the music stored on a separate USB drive. The use of external memory keeps cost down and provides flexibility. Minimal memory functions within the unit include last station recall and last song played. In addition to converting the vehicle’s 12V to all the voltages required within the player, the visual feedback portion of the Human Machine Interface (HMI) for selecting one of the 15 pre-set FM stations comes from four 8-segment red LEDs.
