Abcite(reg) 1060 thermoplastic powder coating is based on the same polymer chemistry as Surlyn ionomer resin, which is used as a golf ball cover. Abcite maintains impact resistance over a -20 to 120F temperature range and is used in the Thick-Coat Z-Bar football face mask for use by linemen and players in other contact-intensive positions. Abcite is UV-stable, and colors do not yellow or fade.
