MOTION CONTROLLER
With jerk-limit control
The EMP402 dual-axis programmable motion controller for coordinated motion for two- or five-phase hybrid stepping motors systems is designed to provide the pulse train for controlling motors for both high-speed motion and positioning. A jerk-limit control feature ensures smoothness of speed change at the critical motion transition points of starting and constant speed motion. Two axes are controlled simultaneously, allowing direct movement to the commanded position. Oriental Motor USA Corp.http://rbi.ims.ca/4390-594
COUPLINGS
With aluminum hubs
The company's CD® couplings with aluminum hubs are designed with low weight and low inertia, making them suitable for servo motor and other precision motion control applications. They are available in single and double disk pack models, with high torsional stiffness and zero backlash. They provide the same torque as the steel hub versions, along with a 15-20 percent increase in the products' RPM rating for most models. Zero-Max Inc.http://rbi.ims.ca/4390-595
HYBRID STEPPER MOTORS
Profiled in free bulletin
The company is offering a 20-page product bulletin that profiles its MAE® brand hybrid stepper motors. All three series of the motors can deliver accurate open loop control for high-performance positioning applications. "Bulletin STP" offers an overview of the products, along with features and benefits for each motor series. Relevant specs and performance data are accompanied by product photos, charts, and illustrations. PennEngineering Motion Technologieshttp://rbi.ims.ca/4390-596
GUIDED MOTION SYSTEM
Reduces costs
The QuickTrak® Linear Guide with DualVee Motion Technology® has joined the company's family of guided motion systems and components. It is designed as an off-the-shelf solution that reduces design and installation costs by easily integrating into machine configurations. The new belt or screw-driven QuickTrak systems are suited for light industrial use in laboratory, medical, and packaging applications where precision guided motion and corrosion resistance are critical. It is constructed of rugged, corrosion-resistant materials. Bishop-Wisecarver Corp.http://rbi.ims.ca/4390-597
TRANSVERSE WINDING DRIVE
Includes fewer parts
Model RGK3-20-0 rolling ring transverse winding drive is for general spooling applications. Manufacturing economies in the product include fewer parts than the company's standard drives and the use of injection-molded plastic parts for the housing and rolling ring carriers. These economies are designed to permit competitive pricing without impairing the drive's ability to meet application requirements for most basic level winding operations.
