Portable test equipment for insulation, resistance, and conductivity (ESD) testing includes hand-cranked battery and line-operated units for multiple measurement ranges and applications from 50 to 5,000V. Megohmmeters-Insulation and Resistance Testing catalog includes a technical section entitled Understanding Insulation Resistance Testing. This describes insulation testing such as spot reading, dielectric absorption, and step voltage.
