Driven linear system
Latest and greatest offerings in the engineering marketplace
By Design News Staff -- Design News, March 23, 1998
The driven linear system (DLS) is available in a cantilevered version. The motor is mounted on the carriage plate, reducing moving weight and inertia. Options include a lightweight beam extrusion targeted for use in high speed/short stroke applications. The system can also be used for the Z axis of an X-Y-Z system or a horizontal robotic arm.
