Development tools
By Design News Staff -- Design News, June 22, 1998
Architectural commonality and a set of common development tools help users transition between processor boards with minimal porting. This reduces the learning curve when migrating from an evaluation board to the final solution. A high degree of commonality is provided throughout the board range by maintaining a standard architecture for the C6x node. Memory type and size compatibility, together with consistent mapping of these into the C6x's four memory banks, are examples of architectural commonality.
