Stealth PX helical planetary gearheads from Bayside Motion Group.

Stealth PX helical planetary gearheads from Bayside Motion Group are available in seven new gear ratios, in addition to the line's existing four ratios. Stealth PX allows input speeds up to 5,000 rpm and provides 15 min backlash, with a 10-min low-backlash option. The gearheads are available in 60, 90, and 115 mm and NEMA 23, 34, and 42 frame sizes, with ratios ranging from 3:1 through 100:1.

Expert Series digital drives from Anorad Corp. control the company's complete line of linear motor and rotary motor driven stages and systems. The amplifier's digital inverter regulates the drive in four-quadrant mode, precisely and with high dynamic response, the company says.

The SCA-100 intelligent control and amplifier package from BEI Sensors and Systems, Kimco Magnetics Div., provides position, velocity, and torque control from the company's line of voice-coil actuators or other devices such as brush dc-type motors. The package is based on a 16-bit microprocessor architecture.

The miniature 5-phase CSK motion subsystem from Oriental Motor USA Corp. consists of a size 17, 5-phase hybrid step motor, a low-backlash gearhead, and a compact, 24V dc board level driver. These motors provide step motor shaft torques ranging from 18 to 26 to 34 oz-inches holding torque. Low shaft vibration and high-accuracy operation is achieved with step motor resolutions of 0.72° per step.
