The Nomad home PC demonstrates how engineering thermoplastics, coupled with processing technology, can allow computer manufacturers to create highly differentiated products. The concept PC features a flat-panel screen, plastic chassis, and extensive snap fits and ribs. The Nomad combines the functional advantages of a laptop with the cost and performance advantages of a desktop computer. The Nomad also illustrates thin-wall molding technology, shielding, and ideas about designing complex shapes.
