Spring clamp
The AWAB RadialTM spring clamp provides constant tension force to compensate for hose expansion and contraction during hot/cold cycles. An 180-degree stainless-steel spring liner is attached inside the band. As the hose expands under hot cycles, the expanded hose material pushes the spring back and into the concave liner. Conversely, as the hose cools off the liner springs back to provide the same uniformed clamping force as before the expansion. The concave liner provides a 2-mm radial movement which corresponds to 1/4-inch tightening at the gear housing.

Chain tensioner
Chain tensioner is a toothed ring made from a recyclable elastic material. The ring is placed between two strands of the chain where, because of its elastic nature, it deforms to an elliptical shape as a result of the compression between the strands. In turn, the ring absorbs any of the slack within the system. This chain tensioner is free-standing, effective in vertical and diagonal drives, maintenance-free, and self-lubricating. It performs the job of a tensioner and damper and can be used in dusty and dirty environments. The chain tensioner is targeted for applications where maintenance schedules are a restraining factor on in-process time scales and where vibration may have detrimental effects.

Valve
The Model 780S precision spray valve lubricates coil stock, 4 inches or less and dies used in high-speed punching and stamping operations without drips or overspray. Simple design and precision-machined components ensure high reliability and millions of cycles without maintenance. The valve employs two separate air inputs. Actuating air from one input opens the valve, and the other input uses low-volume low-pressure (LVLP) air to atomize lubricant without overspray. LVLP air briefly continues at the end of the cycle to atomize any remaining fluid and eliminates drips that can cause localized over-lubrication which leads to slug pulling.

Semiconductor
TSE transformer soft starter is an electronic semiconductor with a microprocessor-controlled patented switch-on procedure. A short pre-magnetization of the transformer core results in a smooth power-on without any spikes. If operated for more than 2 sec, the internal electronic switch will be bridged by built-in bypass relays. Thus, the integrated heat sink in the transformer can be kept small. The usual type-B circuit breaker is used as a cut-out for the transformer and there is no need for a secondary fuse. Normally configured as a compact device for a nominal current of 16A, the TSE transformer can be combined for up to 63A using an external thyristor module.

Brushless dc servomotors are for applications where service life, reliability, compactness, and the capability of operating in extreme environments are decisive factors. These dc servomotors are based on the System Faulhaber® principle. Hall-effect sensors are built into the motor to provide electronic commutation of the three phases.

Hose wrap
SpiralGuardTM free-form spiral hose wrap can be placed around a single hose or bundle of hoses to protect against abrasion and/or crushing. Applications include equipment and machines in factories or in the field. Manufactured from a high molecular weight high-density polyethylene (HDPE), SpiralGuard provides high-impact hose protection. The beveled edge design prevents the wrap from snagging or cutting, allowing installation either before or after the hose is in service.

Valves
Series "FC" thermoplastic flow-regulating valves are for control applications and maintain a constant rate of flow of corrosive or ultra-pure liquids in a process system. The valves feature a special diaphragm which changes shape with inlet pressure changes. As a result, the valves will automatically maintain a steady pre-determined rate of flow in the process system despite inlet pressure changes of between 15 and 120 psi. Normally used to replace more complex flow-control devices, these valves have only one moving part.

Software
ModelServer PublisherTM is based on Netscape Communications Corp.'s Enterprise ServerTM award-winning web server software and converts and publishes engineering drawings and models on demand to web browsers so users get accurate and up-to-date information. To view engineering drawings, maps, or models over the web, users are not required to have MicroStation or AutoCAD. By simply using a common web browser, users can view the engineering work in progress.

Sliders and thrusters
Sliders and thrusters feature four precision- adjustable hard stops which provide absolute stability and repeatability in the stopped position. These devices feature permanently lubricated linear ball bearings and steel endplates, rather than composite bearings and aluminum endplates, for reliable performance and longer life.

Lamp pulsator
The STOP-ALERTTM automotive lamp pulsator increases the visual effectiveness of automotive lamps in headlight, taillight, stoplight, and backup-light applications. This 100% solid-state device is connected in series with one or more lamps to cause a pulsating or "glimmering" effect and is engineered for all 12V vehicular electrical systems. The STOP-ALERT possesses an incandescent power rating of 60W continuous, 120W intermittent, and a maximum surge current of 160A.

Ribbon slitter
Ultrasonic multi-cut slitter system provides noiseless, continuous slitting and sealing of ribbons in a variety of widths and cuts through synthetic materials without knives or hot wire. The fabric passes between multiple ultrasonic power heads called horns and a pressure-controlled anvil. The horns, which are mounted side by side, can be positioned to produce various ribbon widths, as narrow as 1/4 inch or as wide as the application may require. The cutting tools are dove-tailed and gib-mounted to permit adjustment for different applications.

Monitor system
Model 156A charged-plate monitor system provides quantitative measurements of the effectiveness of air ionization systems. The unit employs a charged-plate monitor design that uses an ultra-high-impedance, high-voltage follower circuit to monitor the ion collecting plate voltage.

Motors
The A-Series of encoder-based motors are part of the Delta SeriesTM drive line and complement the existing resolver-based motor choices. The motors are rated at 1,500 rpm and are available over a power range from 400W to 11 kW to correspond to the ratings of the Delta Drivers. The motors incorporate a precision 2048 line encoder, creating a 8192 pulse/revolution system, and have higher rotor inertia than standard Delta motors. Motors are targeted for direct-drive applications.

Molded rubber seals
Molded rubber seals solve problems in central vacuum cleaner systems and applications involving air flow and requiring a seal around a motor. The seals slip onto the base of an electric motor and replace a flat die-cut part, needing no adhesive to hold them in place. They provide a vacuum seal between the motor and the housing, reducing motor noise while dampening vibrations. The seals are made from ethylene propylene with a 60 durometer hardness, and can also be supplied in neoprene, nitrile, or silicone.

Switch
CompuSwitch controls up to four PCs (any combination of PS/2 and AT systems) from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse. The 4-channel unit dedicates individual keyboard and mouse emulators to each PC so that every connected PC "sees" its own keyboard and mouse all the time to preserve system booting and operation. Features include a 1.75 inch desktop chassis, a optional rackmount kit, and hot-key commands.

Springs
HELI-CAL Flexure technology is applied to the design and manufacture of precision-machined springs and can precisely match the workload and dimensional requirement for a variety of applications. Machined springs can be manufactured to close dimensional tolerances. When used as a coupling or u-joint, the HELI-CAL Flexure employs a curved beam to transmit torque while compensating for lateral, axial, and angular misalignments.

Power factor monitor relay
Model LWN is a compact, 45-mm wide, rail-mounted unit that monitors asynchronous motors, operating under varying loads, connected to single- or three-phase ac power lines. The measuring principle is based on evaluation of phase displacement between current and voltage of a phase. Currents up to 20A can be monitored directly without a current transformer, and the monitored voltage can range from 110 to 500V ac and 15 to 400Hz. The unit is for applications involving inductive loads for power factor conditions.

Aluminum profile systems
Aluminum extrusions and assemblies increase efficiency in high-speed conveyors used in automated assembly operations. The units are prepared with back-end setup services that include pinning, drilling, and mounting slots. They are offered in custom configurations and can be fitted with friction-reducing UHMW or "S" wear strips in ready-to-attach assemblies that come in standard lengths of 120 to 240 inches.
