Teflon(reg) fluoropolymer resin is used in the chemical process industry as a corrosion-resistant lining for equipment. Other applications include fluid-handling systems for manufacturing pharmaceuticals, as Teflon does not contaminate fluids with metal ions. Like metal systems, Teflon can be cleaned with steam and harsh chemicals.
