A white paper entitled MES: A High Level Vision provides information on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as function, role, and definition. Nine reporducible models are included to illustrate the definition of MES, including the relationships of MES with other types of plant-information systems, the functions, operational and corporate benefits, and technology models.
