Interface system converts the conventional manual wiring of the SLC500 I/O to D-sub connectors and provides a pluggable connection at the PLC. Input and output cards are distinguished by the use of male and female connectors. The system allows a quick test procedure to identify PLC or drive failure and reduce downtime. Control panel build time is also reduced with the system's plug-in system, eliminating the need for ferrules, markings, and terminations. Using a plug-in tester for signal verification and with pre-tested components eliminates errors and reduces installation and commissioning time.
